@texasseoulgal: Shout out to the nurses at Texas Oncology! I was informed my new chem med was approved via prior with my insurance but my co-pay was still over $1,000 for a 30-day supply. I told the specialty pharmacy to not fill it. I called my doc and told them there is no way in hell I can pay that. The nurse called me back same day and informed me she will apply me for a grant. Same day approved! $4,000 worth until grant runs out and we reapply. The med came next day delivery with a bunch of info. The pharmacy also provided me with all the resources I need 24/7. I also received follow up call from my nurse with a chem teaching. Back on therapy again to get my platelets and white blood counts down in hopes of reducing my enlarged spleen size. Wish my luck and prayers.
