Why Cambodia attacked hospital???Cambodia's Unethical Aggression Against Thai Civilians In a blatant violation of international humanitarian principles, Cambodian forces launched a deliberate and indiscriminate attack on civilian areas within Thailand. The assault targeted critical civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, schools filled with children, a gas station, and a 7-Eleven convenience store. As a result of this heinous act, more than two schoolchildren were tragically killed, and a total of eight innocent civilians — including children — lost their lives. Such an attack represents a grave breach of moral and legal norms, and underscores a deeply concerning disregard for civilian life by the Cambodian authorities. We, the people of Thailand, hereby declare that our nation has always stood for peace, diplomacy, and mutual respect among neighboring countries. However, recent acts of aggression initiated by the Kingdom of Cambodia have violated these principles and endangered innocent Thai lives. On 24 July 2025, Cambodian military forces fired the first shots, thereby initiating an unprovoked act of war against Thailand. As a result, Thai civilians and soldiers have lost their lives, and the sovereignty of our nation has been threatened. Thailand reaffirms its commitment to peace, but we shall not stand idly by in the face of hostility “Thailand loves peace, but will never cower in war.

Why would Cambodia start a war? Cambodia is a small and developing country. We don’t have powerful weapons like Thailand. We don’t have the money or power to create war. Our people, women, children, elders, monks, just want to live in peace. Cambodia has always respected our neighbors. But now, we’re being attacked. Bombs have fallen on our land. Our soldiers and innocent people have died. Our sacred temples, part of our identity and culture, have been damaged. And still, Thailand tries to control the story. They say Cambodia started this war. But why would we? What do we gain? We are the ones losing lives. We are the ones suffering. Please, don’t believe everything you see on the news. Look deeper. Ask questions. Cambodia is not the attacker, we are the ones being attacked.

Thailand didn't start the conflict. Satellite data from independent institutions like ASPI (Australian Strategic Policy Institute) clearly show that Cambodia built over 100 military structures near the border before Thailand made any move. Thailand's responses were limited, defensive, and much later. This conflict is more about Cambodia’s internal politics than actual aggression from Thailand.
