@mariathattil: My folks immigrated to Australia and worked alternating factory shifts to put us through school and keep a roof over our heads. They’ve supported me unconditionally - they cheered just as hard when I completed my degrees, and when I was walking the Miss Universe stage. They print every news article, watch every TV appearance and audition, they support it all. Mum cooks and sends food for me when I’m exhausted from big work weeks. Dad calls every day just to hear my voice. They deserve the best and I love the privilege of being able to treat them.
