Used to work with deaf painters…..they lip read….and a bit of sign if needed. Have a deaf friend Anna we talk every week on her special phone. She’s very well read and politically aware. We discuss news and current affairs. Over 25 yrs of chats. Thanx for your chat all the best 👍🏼

I disagree with you Marky! I have congenital hearing loss, which is slowly getting worse. I also suffer with severe tinnitus, so night time is the worse for me. When the world goes quiet, the noise in my ears ramps up. I do agree about social settings, back ground noise and multiple people speaking, that's why I generally avoid it. I get fed up of saying pardon, say that again! I don't like my hearing aid, the little tip that's goes in the ear once stayed in my ear, after I took it off. It scared me! I had to use an otoscope and tweezers to get it out! 🤣

I know what it's like mate 🙄 i lip read alot. I can only hear a small bit 🙏👍 I also have tinnitus which drives me mad 😏

I've worn a hearing aid since I was 9. I found it difficult in crowded places to hear what people were saying but I learned how to live with it. im 62 now and can honestly say it's lovely to switch off. I wear an eye mask and can't hear a thing, its heaven 😂😂
