I don’t understand why so many people don’t even take the time to look at what’s actually included for the price. Can you all please stop focusing only on the number and actually read the details? The $440 isn’t just for entry — it’s for a 2-day ticket, a high tea set (which usually costs at least $100 on its own — it’s high tea, not just two scones 🤣), international guests, gift bags, and access to the vendor hall. It’s really not unreasonable when you break it down.

While I understand the need to cover expenses, $440 is unfortunately a really big number 😅. The venue looks lovely, but have you considered starting out smaller scale? Like a restaurant instead. Vinyard restaurants might be a more suitable option that allows you to slowly build a brand getting your funding up for bigger venues like this without placing too much financial burden on the participant. Look, I know EGL isn’t the most accessible fashion price wise but the price of the tickets is extremely exclusionary considering the current climate. I know going to conventions is a major luxury but this is completely beyond that. Why not start smaller like Azurite Con has done and actually engage the community?

I would love to do this but unfortunately I don’t believe the price is sustainable, especially with the current financial climate in our country. I live in a rural area and already the price puts me at a disadvantage DESPITE me having a well paying job. As you said in other replies, EGL is still quite niche in Australia and I think the convention would do well with a smaller run for the first year of it both for you guys as a company (or convention runners?) and those wanting to participate. Either way, hope to see more of yall in the future, as someone starting out 💕💕

general admission is $440? normally small, new convention = small price tags, big, established convention = big price tag. I get running event is expensive but that's a big ask for someone to take a chance on a brand new event...

Honestly, the ticket price is fair considering the expenses of flying in guests, catering, venue, gift bags, etc. but I have to agree, it's way out of my budget. Especially considering that many prospective attendees will also need to factor in travel & accommodation on top of the ticket.

okay so, I'm seeing that tickets are $500, which is a little nervewracking for a first time event with not a lot of information Will the tea + meet and greet be available at every price point? Will more info be released as we go? Is there a ticket limit to how many people can go, etc? I am reallyyyy excited and soooo glad this is happening but just a little nervous.
