Why Cambodia had to attack first while Cambodia tried to resolve this through the ICJ but not Thailand? based on past rulings that already confirmed its sovereignty over temple areas. Thailand refused, rejected the legal process, and instead moved troops and barbed wire into disputed land. That’s not “defence” that’s provocation. On July 24, both sides claim the other shot first, but when one side avoids court and escalates militarily, it’s clear who’s undermining peace. Cambodia acted in self-defense. The truth: Thailand never wanted to stop. They only agree when having conversations with Mr. president Donald Trump. but then they disagree on their own. for Cambodia, we always agree and wanted peace. We offer a peaceful solution by called to ICJ but border issues. But Thailand try as their best to avoid from ICJ. Thailand even create a drama and fake evidence to accuse Cambodia... so they have excuse to attack. then when they can't win against Cambodia troops, they started to use Air-force "F-16" and bombed on Cambodia. Cambodia army took down some of F-16 but Thailand still got upper hand. so, they tryna attack more and more and rejected every mediation from Malaysia, China, Japan. Untill Mr. president Donald trump called, yesterday on 26th July 2025. but still can't do anything much. bcuz on 27th July 2025, Thailand still bomb on Cambodia land, Hospitals, Pagodas, schools, houses. My people surfers enough from war, since Khmer rouge, now Thailand invasion. even the history says that Thailand invade Cambodia so many times. As a Cambodian, I only need peace upon my Nation. If Thailand really has nothing to hide, then: • Why block UN observers or ASEAN mediation? • Why not let neutral parties verify what’s happening on the ground? • Why dismiss Cambodia’s call for an international investigation into alleged Thai airstrikes on civilian areas? This gives the perception that Thailand may: • Be worried about international scrutiny or being held accountable. • Want to control the narrative at home and abroad especially with elections looming and political instability brewing inside Thailand.
