You can put lights on the wall but for me I put masking tape all around my room and then the lights on top that way it doesn’t rip the wall when u go to remove it 🤣

I have an emergency kit for this. Spackle and the exact paint samples for each color in the room. If you do then save a strip of the wall go to Lowe’s and ask for a paint sample but before doing that spackle wait till it fully dries, sand it and paint over. This has saved me 🙂↕️🫶🏽

U can try taking a paint chip that falls off and getting that shade in a sample jar so its cheaper🤱 and make sure u sand down the plaster befor u add paint to it
