In the documentary he says he is devastated when the first wife & Brinkley wanted out they were crying about why - his self destruction w/alcohol. He never talks about that part which leads me to believe he nvr did AA - no accountability!

I think that he never really got the acknowledgment that he really wanted. I’m a baby boomer and I never really looked at him being a rock ‘n’ roll kind of person. I didn’t think that he fit in with the other rockers yet? He could play the piano really good.
