The takeaway for me from that anime was the shock value of how gory it was. Story wise, it’s a blur to me, and ended on a cliffhanger.

I saw it back in the day and even then I thought it was boring and the plot went into every direction and that it never landed on anything. If someone liked it, good for them but objectively it was not a good story and relied a lot on shock value
