I came to the U.S. in January 2022 and applied for asylum in September of that year. I received my work permit and Social Security number in 2023. I was never given a court date; instead, my case status just showed that the next step would be an interview. Recently, in July 2025, I received a notification that my case was closed, and they mentioned sending a letter that I haven’t seen yet. Could you please let me know what it means if my case is closed and what steps I should take next? Thank you!

I submitted ALL my documents a week before my interview. My interview didn’t last for 15 minutes! I had my original documents and the officer didn’t look at them! The officer was also happy that I already submitted my medical records way before. I was the only applicants who wasn’t sent an RFE for medical. All the best folks🫂

is this just with stateside interviews? Because our interview instructions says bring a list of items with you when you come for interview and they check that you have all paperwork with a pre-interview paperwork check.

But how ? Before my I-130 got approved it let me upload and now that I’m just waiting for the interview it doesn’t give me an option to upload more documents
