Im just going to say as a highschool janitor, I have about 16 rooms to clean and easily sweep up over 100 broken pencils from these bigger kids. If parents saw what the kids did with their supplies, not just pencils, yall would be livid. 😭

You’re pure gold, my kids teachers can ask for just about anything and we will do our best to get them… 7+ hours a day with a classroom full of small children- you get what you want

The last 5 years we’ve had enough Covid funds to buy whatever supplies we need. 25/26 budget it was cut, we now need parents to buy supply lists again. I teach at a dual immersion school where I teach 2 groups (half day each) 50 or so kiddos. Asking parents to buy two sets of supplies per kid…ugh.

How the heck are people complaining about school supplies?! I'm so grateful for my kids' teachers. Dont just stop at a school supply list, send me your Amazon wishlist babe. Teaching my kids 180 days a year at no cost to me? Girl. You want a wine of the month club membership? Costco gift card? I got you.

Ooh innovative. I use the tissues to stuff the arigurumi that I make the children crochet (small hands, you know) and then I sell those. The pencils I let them chew. They need the fiber with all the takis they eat. Clorox wipes are for when an administrator comes in, so it looks like I'm having them clean up from a lab that, oops, the admin just missed, gosh maybe you'll catch the next one.

Our school is a low income school so they never ask for anyone to bring school supplies in jr and high school they actually supply mostly everything the schools have amazing business supporter that supply them almost everything… but i still buy school supplies and help the teachers out
