Silence fell, heavy, broken only by the pattering rain. Heeseung shifted on his feet, glancing at you, then back at the rain. “You’ve been avoiding us.” You blinked. “What?” “I mean, it’s finals, I get it,” he continued, scratching the back of his neck, “but… you didn’t even tell me.” You looked at him, confused, “Tell you…?” He exhaled, cheeks tinted pink despite the cold. “I just… noticed, okay?” You blinked. “Why you? You’re busy too.” He chuckled, eyes crinkling a little. “I know. But… I kinda like it when you tell me things.” Your heart stuttered. You hoped the rain was loud enough to cover how your breath hitched. “I didn’t know we were that close,” you tried to joke, but it came out a little too honest. A little too soft. Heeseung stepped closer. Just enough that you could see the droplets sliding down his jaw. “Yeah, well… we could be.” You swallowed. Hard. “Could be?” He shrugged, eyes not leaving yours. “If you let me.” The wind blew colder but your face felt hot. Your fingers fidgeted with your bag strap. “You’re so cheesy.” Heeseung laughed. The silence came again, but this time it was different. Warm. Heavy. You looked away, heart pounding so loud you were sure he could hear it over the rain. Suddenly, he leaned down a bit, eyes searching yours. “Hey… are you cold?” You started to shake your head but he slipped off his jacket anyway, draping it over your shoulders. The warmth of it, the faint scent of him... it nearly did you in. “You’ll get sick,” you whispered, voice trembling. Heeseung just grinned, too close, too pretty. “Then take responsibility for me, Y/N.” Your eyes widened. “What—” you couldn't believe it, is the Lee Heeseung really flirting you? Before you could argue, thunder cracked in the distance. You flinched, stumbling a bit and he caught you by your shoulders.“You okay?” he asked, so close now you could count his eyelashes.
