Recent empty nester here, I miss toys and fingerprints everywhere. The only noise now is our TV, except for short visits. I never minded a few messes, I knew it would come to this. Now, it's becoming Grandma time, and maybe that's even better? 🥹

Single dad with my daughter every day the last 18 years.. She’s my best friend my world. ❤️. Two days ago she left for Texas to go to college😔…... I still haven’t slept. I don’t know how I’m gonna live without her😢thank God for FaceTime. Enjoy their childhood while you can, endure every single moment with them, enter their world of play and imagination.. It will stay with them for the rest of their lives. I love you, Tyler. You’re the best daughter a dad could ever ask for.

Whenever I’m feeling rough about how I’m doing as a dad or not truly seeing myself- I like to stoop down real quick to their little world and point of view, and it always helps me to not only feel like a better parent but cherish each one of these precious moments of imagination and expression. I wouldn’t trade a mess for anything ! 🙏 ✨ thank you for this.

As a dad that used to get easily annoyed with my 4 kids for the messes, this hurts. I travel 6 months out of the year minimum for work and have since they where born. I have missed so much… I have been away this hitch for 2 weeks and have 2 more weeks to go till I can go home. My youngest is 6 now and I just want to go home and make a mess with her.😢

Yes, my daughter would have about 15 Barbies when she was little and each one had a name and she would sit them down and read books to them and they were always scattered everywhere and now my little girl is 20 years old and I sure miss those days. Enjoy them while you can.♥️

It's a tug-o-war for me aswell. I went through a real hell and back before I got my family. The best thing that will ever happen to me. But I'm older, burnt out...but I'm trying and 4ever grateful

Yes mom I remember I got annoyed at my son using the broom in the tub like he was really on the boat also the car wash excited now I can’t get him to remember or get excited about it I should of took pictures he’s 17 now good kid but more chill now.

yes you will i have 5 all grown up now and i miss the days gone by of being a young mom i was so caught up in the day by day i missed these moments a lot I now have 6 beautiful grandkids and i love it but i still remember my babies❤️❤️❤️

Why are we made to feel this is bad? Instantly o felt like omg I have to move these. I believe we were conditioned to feel that play like that is messy. We need to tap into our inner child and allow kids to tap into their inner child!! They aren’t small forever!
