Worst thing ever. I lost my Grammy… she had dementia. Broke my damn heart. Makes me so mad when people are mean to them. They can’t help it.

any form of dementia is just heartbreaking. I worked in a lock down unit so strictly dementia residents on my unit. any time they'd ask me if id seen their mommy id tell them no but I bet she's with my mommy because I haven't seen her either. they normally would be fine with that answer. I got crazy looks from fellow CNAs but my mommy passed like theirs so its the best I could think of.

lost my dad and my aunt to Alzheimer's. in my opinion, it is the the worst disease. your loved one's lose you before you even die. it destroys everyone around you and it is a very slow and traumatizing experience.

Chandler gave grandma such a beautiful end of her life. Sang with her daily. Never missed a visit. I’m so sad she passed I miss singing videos of them. 😭

Yeah girl, at least you’ve had this thought. I pushed it COMPLETELY to the back of my mind an my nana unexpectedly passed in July of 24. When I tell you I thought I was dying. Absolutely the worst pain I’ve been thru.

Also, there wasn't one video of his I watched that she DIDNT remember him after he gave her hints. She always knew who he was eventually and that just shows the bond they had.
