As an er tech, who has the epitome of dark humor. I absolutely would NEVER do this. I treat every euthanasia with respect and kindness. I’ve been on the other side and had to euthanize my heart dog, and I would have lost it had I known my co workers treated him like that.

Had to put my dog down almost a year ago, I had him for 18 years, rescue him at a year old from an incredibly abusive situation. He came to me when I was 15 in a very difficult situation, he save me and I saved him and it broke me to take him up when I was almost 33 years old. If this was my dog, I cant even post what I want to because it will flag me.

The vet tech that sat with me while I put my Izzy girl down asked me if she could hug me because I was so upset. The whole office was amazing to me. I can’t imagine going through that loss and having a person like that be on the other side of it. That’s disgusting.

I don’t understand why some of these people work as vet techs. I once had to euthanize my cat and I was so sobbing so hard that I couldn’t talk. The receptionist looked at me like she was annoyed. I’ll never forget it, and I’ll never forgive myself for not saying anything to her supervisor.

I had to euthanize one of my cats and I had had him for about 4 months and that was one of the hardest days of my life and to pick his ashes a week later. That is just so horrible 😭😭😭

Many years ago, my daughter took her pug in to get fixed and checked in all day to make sure he was OK only to when she picked him up, they brought him out unalived in a black hefty bag and never gave her reason. This stung.
