1) paint the window trim to match the black! 2) wallpaper 100%, but if cost is crazy, I agree with yellow or peach. That was actually my first instinct, for the balance. However— color drenching and going for yellow or peachy for all the swap-out-able stuff like your curtain and rugs would be super fun. I just worry about the trendiness of a color drench

the urban legend :
I wanted wallpaper in our vintage bathroom so bad but yes expensive. I found large stencils on Etsy and made my own wallpaper with colors of the tile and colors I wanted added into the space. hope that helps!

what about a stencil instead of a wallpaper? that way you could still do a cool bold pattern but without the $$$$$

I know this isn’t what you asked- but I support you keeping it or ripping it down lol I wish I could help but it takes me so long to feel a space out before I know what it needs!

I would lean into the black border. Maybe do a black patterned wallpaper or a textured print? You can absolutely do wallpaper in bathrooms.

I think you could find a cool wallpaper that would pull in the black/blue tones. If you go the color drenching route, the blue on the floor might balance it out some. You could also lean into the black and go smokey/moonlight/celestial vibes.

I’m so surprised you don’t gravitate towards blue because it’s such a nice color with your coloring!

Okay hear me out… just painted my entire attic with limousine black from Home Depot and it’s now my fav room in the house. I feel like your bathroom would look bomb with that and gallery style wall/s. It would give it a wallpaper feel but with more personality ?

Think through a navy based paper or paint with imagery that contains black. Paint navy, do some random stencil pattern with soft yellow, black swallowtails and soft muted greens. Incorporates the bkack border and calms the bright blue tile.

i think a blue that’s in the same family but a little lighter than the tile would be beautifullll and then i would paint the brown border of the windowsill black and exchange the mirror for one with a black frame as well as other gold hardware to bring that black into it

I love the idea of peach. 🍑 adding a warm light color could help balance the contrasting black and blue. And make it feel modern.

Definitely do the research on the wallpapers and it’s gonna be in the bathroom. You don’t want the humidity to start peeling off your wallpaper

for warm tone ideas, look at burnt orange, a warm dark peachy coral, etc! orange & blue are opposite on the color wheel so they look great together
