Premature twins do better on breast milk in my experience with your brother and sister. But they were 3 months early! 2.14 and 3.3 ! And couldn’t handle even the special formula. They were losing weight.😢So the only thing they could have to survive was breast milk, I was told if not mine it would have to be a surrogate mother’s breast milk. So I used an electric pump! There was blood in it but I finally got it in!🤗I was concerned about the blood but they said it wouldn’t hurt them at all! Phew!!!😮💨 They Gained weight daily! They were due in Jan were born October 21 and I was not to expect them to be able to come home until December, most likely Christmas!! But I feed exclusively my milk!! Every day and night we were there with a fresh supply!! They did So good that they went into a special book!! They actually came in time for Thanksgiving!!!❤️🙏❤️Thank You Jesus!!!❤️🙏❤️They wore Cabbage Patch clothes ( doll clothes!!😁)which was a joke in the family because they were so small premature baby clothes hung off them still!!🥹🥰 but they were very healthy!!!💕 I was fortunate enough to breastfeed all 5 of you children!!!💖 But you did have my milk from bottles also. I also know ladies who have had to split it up like you did and also had extremely healthy babies, like my grandbabies!!!💖🥰 And I have also known ladies who weren’t able even produced enough milk for their baby and had to completely bottle feed because it was literally Too painful for her. It broke her heart. But when you’re hurting so badly trying to do the best thing for your child sometimes it Not the Best Thing!!❤️Because Everything that you’re feeling is being transferred over and through to your child and that’s upsetting for them and overall just makes not a good feeling about what should be a cozy, snuggly bonding relationship with momma and baby. 💖💖💖
