I saw this on an episode of Mysteries at the Museum, it was because of minks in the ravine below attracts dogs with their strong scent, leading them to jump. They now have a sign up saying you must leash your dog at all times when crossing the bridge.

для русских: с этого моста действительно почему то прыгают собаки, и люди проживающие по близости считали что этот мост был мостом между миром мертвых и живых (недалеко было поселение, и один мужик скинул своего ребенка с этого моста и прыгнул затем за ним), и собаки чуя потустороннее прыгали и платились за свое любопытство. Но, веря статье, собаки прыгали изза того, что ощущали запах феромонов каких то... грызунов-самцов (и впринципе видели грызунов и прыгали за ним). И провели эксперимент, привели 30 собак, как то распрыскали припарат, и только 2 собаки с короткой мордой и слабым обонянием остались в спокойствии, остальные все побежали на источник запаха

“It’s because minks” that would make sense if they just jumped anywhere but it’s the exact same spot and side each time and the survivors climbed back up to jump off the exact same spot. As the caption stated.

I was watching a documentary years before that a scientist was explaining that the dogs there can’t recognize the height of the bridge because of an illusion … they actually getting confused
