Islam sounds like it was created by men for men in order to have control over women and other things

I agree, it took me a while to realize that many of the islamic rules taught to me growing up weren’t actually islam but rather cultural influences within the religion. Arab culture is honestly misogynistic and you realize it more and more as you grow up. So being an arab and a muslim is a horrific combination. It took me a while to disconnect from the… propaganda I grew up around. So far I can only trust the authentic tafsirs and hadiths as well as the Quran of course. I’m trying to further my knowledge on Islam so that I can better differentiate what is and what is not the truth. What I’ve learned so far is that Islam itself is not male centred but people will try to lie and twist it in order to control you.

Once I realized my relationship with Allah and the Quran was personal and nothing can come in between me and my Rabi I started avoiding the misogynistic and toxic people who love to misinterpret the religion May Allah protect us

It’s sad how many men have interpreted religion to benefit them, but if we try to learn religion we can see women and men have the same rewards in heaven, they’re spiritually equal, so let’s do our best and may He makes it easier for us

I felt the same way until I actually found women scholars who opened my eyes. Watch problematic Hadith about women on YouTube by let the Quran speak. You need to make sure you’re getting your knowledge from the correct places because unfortunately there are a lot of misogynistic men who interpret wrongly but Allah is not misogynistic, we are all the same to Allah.

Honestly it gets so bad sometimes when it lowers ur iman then u have to ground urself in what Allah SWT actually said rather than what men teach us Islam is then they try to gaslight us n tell us we r leaving Islam for voicing our opinion

If you feel second-class, it's not because Islam made you that way. Islam gave women honor, rights, and dignity long before the modern world caught up. If people deny you that, they are the problem not your religion.

i 100% believe this. Men get multiple wives, while we get one husband. Their testimony in court is superior to ours and they get larger Inheritance. we are definitely second to them but I'm okay with that because I love islam

Men can marry 4 wives but women can’t. Men can strike their wife is she disobeys. The angels curse a wife if she doesn’t sleep w him. I want you to be serious and stop lying to yourself.

As salam aleykum, I have the same though, and thx for sharing it!! But on top of being male-centered, I think that even the knowledge FOR the moment have to pass through a man. Do you feel what I’m saying?

I’m trying to listen to women about Islam instead of men. I was at a point in my life where I taught God was cruel to women and we meant little to him. I always ask “why this” why that” but I don’t seem to get any reasonable answer

the fact that everytime people have to overexplain how Islam honours women, see women as equal as men says a lot about how it is being practiced. "it's not the religion, it's the people" but the people are practicing the religion tho?. it's almost like "that's the ideal, but that's not how we practice it/ not what we do here"

I still resonate with this so bad even at this big age of 34. If I could terminate my existence quick and painless, I would. I'm just affraid I'd go to hell instead of the nothingness that I wanted

i see women as special being. in my view, Quran mostly talked about men because its their job to do this, to do that. its the same concept when a father would taught his sons harshly about how to live but when it comes to his daughter, he becomes soft, forgiving, wanna pampered us n all. cus the thing that makes me really thing we are special because of emotional thingy. men like to mock us with this emotional thingy but in quran Allah always comfort us and never once ask women to get it together when it comes to emotion. even ask men to handle and be nice to women. so yeah we are special

Here’s how i believe as a muslim woman i think Islam just like any other religion is a beautiful religion but it’s not a perfect religion just like how no religion is perfect. The reason i am a muslim is because it is my truth and it helped me over my life countless times
