thank you on 3rd>1st! so many 1st persons just read incredibly juvenile to me. (also, recently there was a book I wanted to read that I once I learned it was 450 pages, I immediately put it back)

I think audio books count towards a book goal for the year, but it’s not the actual act of reading. You’re processing audio, not processing words on a page and it’s a different thing
