the reason why I got on a omnipod was bc I was starting to get so much scar tissue from constantly having to inject myself. Personally I hated it sooo much !!!

Every time I take my daughter to her Endo he tries to talk to her about pumps. She’s 11 and I let it go for a bit. After a while she makes a face like she doesn’t want to hear it anymore. So I cut him off. I already forced her to get a dexcom. She doesn’t want too many devices on her either. Plus she needs to feel like she has control over something. Good to hear you feel like this. It really helps me understand my daughter a little better. 🫶🏻

MDI user here! 30 years and although I didn’t take care of myself as a teen I have had a phenomal A1c for the past 15 years. For the past couple years I’ve been at a 5.4 A1c 🥹I like having the control and I am also on a CGM!

same I have been on MDI for 24 years and it's where I am more comfortable. my a1c is at 6.4 so I am happy. I am also a brittle diabetic so I need to dose when my sugar spikes

MDI for over 20 years! I’m allergic to most pumps and also get incredibly overstimulated by them. Not growing up with any diabetes technology can make it all feel very overwhelming 🥲

I don’t think enough people talk about this! MDI is a great option and I think there is a lot of pressure to use pumps. There are many positives to MDI. Wishing you the best 🥰 thank you for sharing

MDI here. I’ve tried Dexcom and it’s wildly inaccurate. My A1C is usually between 4.8-5.3

I’m on the tandem/dexcom and I wish I could just unplug and go back to MDI sometimes. But then MDI seems like too much. I wish there was a middle ground between the two. #cantwin

MDI because I have to be in control of something. A1c 5.9, so I think I'm doing ok.
