PENICILLIN 2 oz Blended Scotch 1/4 oz Peated Scotch float 3/4 oz Lemon Juice 3/4 oz Honey Ginger Syrup (or split the two syrups) Love, a little love Whiskey sour riff, bee's knees riff etc GINGER: If you dont wanna make ginger honey syrup, you can muddle in a few slices of fresh ginger and just use honey syrup. I like to use a split between ginger and honey syrup. This is always a treat. I have not made one of these in a long time, so this was a good reminder that Sam Ross is a wizard and has given us many modern classic cocktails. If ya don’t like scotch or think you don’t, try this and let me know if it changes your mind. You can make this with tequila and mezcal also, but it of course won’t be a penicillin anymore. I'm not big on garnishes, and by that, I mean I suck at them. Its my fingers, they are too fat. But, I have been doing the Kaityln's finest lately, a little citrus peel circle. @likeablecocktails Also, not every cocktail needs a garnish. Functional garnishes are one thing. A mint sprig on a Mai Tai, for example. But throwing 5 dehydrated lime wheels at a cocktail seems weird to me.
