I disagree with you. The pass that you are suggesting wasn't going to go through. The option he opted for looked much better. If you check the clip without pauses, you will realise that the defender quickly closed the angle that you're suggesting. Let us be lenient and realistic in analyses – remember we have a chance to rewatch the clip, and the players have just 5 seconds to make a decision.

The pass you suggesting was going to be difficult as on the left there is a defender who is very watchful of that space, however Im with you, he could have done better. He was supposed to have passed it quicker and with pace, the only thing about quick and paced pass is that it have to be accurate to your teammate or else they won’t get it if you not put on thier feet.

1st touch already limited his options.. for someone who plays in a high pressure position like a striker or a false 9.. he’s decision making and 1st touch is poor.. because the defender had committed to the channel he wanted to pass, he could have carried and layed it off to the left winger or the right winger who were free and already in a a forward motion.. allowing the team to advance into the final 3rd where a cross or 1v1 would be an option.. allowing of our players to rush into the box.. to get a chance at goal.. it was a 5 vs 4 when he received the ball.. this is not a good look especially at the level he’s playing… but let’s see how the season plays out..but what I can tell you.. he’s not a composed player at all..

Nah bro...Asante kotoko players were quick to close all the spaces they wanted uterlise. The only I can judge him with was that extra touch before releasing the ball but again Vilakazi's run was few steps late because he only reacted after Cele's pass,however give Silva his credit for his good positioning, starting frm were the move started(he is good in positioning)

So that other 2 players are invincible from his left? That pass would be easily blocked by one of them. The space he opted to use, was a better option for him. The only mistake i can say he made was holding too much on the ball. If only he played a quick pass and run to that space you're pointing out, it would be a really good play
