Lisa Desouki :
For me, this doesn't speak to me about it. Being black history or black wealth, it speaks to me in elegance and class. It speaks to me on a time and an era when people dressed with prestige, where people dressed with class and where they were welcome in any circles. Whether you be white or black, poor orange, because sometimes there are poor people that mingle very well within the rich, I was one of them. I always had been one of them. I was very poor I had nothing growing up. I had the opportunity to have more when I got older through a marriage. But that marriage didn't teach me about wealth or class or elegance because it's something that I always had and it was something I was always destined for whether it be with that person or not, however, today I clean houses of very wealthy people, billionaires that's with AB and I have to. Tell you they love me. They hug me and they treat me exactly equal as I sit there and I scrub their toilets. They treat my crew with elegance and with kindness as well. Because at the end of the day, it's what you warrant from people. It is not about the color of your skin although I'm very happy for this young man. Getting this position in with Ralph Lauren. Because that is a point that I'm trying to make. He is in there because he is elegant and worthy enough to be in there, not because of the color of his skin. We have to learn to leave that out of the equation. We have to remember that if we're ever going to speak and be equal amongst each others, then we have to keep leaving out the race part. Just say this young man collaborated with Ralph, Lauren. Or this young man is heading his top design team. You don't have to say who the young man is irrelevant. We already can see that. He's a very elegant young black man. I'm very happy for this campaign kudos to all involved
