yes!! also obviously bringing young (veryyyyy young) foreign models to the other side of the world means that they most likely can't communicate as well as native english speakers do, maybe the banking system is different (like when we talk about models who grew up in soviet union or any socialist country, how did they even navigate that??), the taxes, the healthcare... this system prudently puts these models in a very vulnerable position no matter IF they "make it", all for a "dream" that is complète fantasy

All these high fashion models need to form a union or have an independent model organisation that investigates their welfare, treatment and pay from these luxury houses & modelling agencies, also needs to be a way for these models to gain citizenships in the countries they work in so they aren't further exploited, Adut Akech started this trend which I'm very proud of (i think has been a net positive represention for dark-skinned folk) but she's an Australian citizen so she's protected from further exploitation (and she's basically Karl Largarfield's most recent muse)
