hold it wide open everytime you run it on a property. it will last you longer. these machines were built to run full rpm all day so they get moody when you don't pull the trigger all the way every so often

Now you tell us you don’t have to the issue is those engines are designed to run wide open because that’s how you get maximum airflow to keep them cool same with the four stroke engine they build more heat when they’re at low RPM because the fan isn’t moving as much air

Ok so wide open they would have knocked that area out in seconds. U finger popping that thing took 3xs as long. Time is money 💯

You realize you'll cause more damage by not running at full RPM? I'm a certified STIHL mechanic and can assure you these are meant to run wide open. That flywheel needs to be spinning full rpm to keep your engine cool

Also if you don't have it full blast then the exhaust will clog up and you would have issues starting it or running it

You’re not the only one that knows this lol prettt standard knowledge. Trimmers aren’t supposed to run on low rpms or else the trigger would be designed to not go as high speed.

And you are gonna have problems with your exhaust screen plugging up cuz you aren't burning the oil in that mix fuel and it's gonna block it up with carbon deposits! 😂

Hey so I actually fix this crap for a living, and yes I COMPLETELY understand you cannot always be fully on the throttle and that's okay, HOWEVER when you're done hold ur wacker in air hold it wide open for 10 or 15 seconds or more idrc. what this does is burn carbon build up in your exhaust screen. It builds up with carbon because when your half throttle, your exhaust doesn't heat up enough to burn that carbon. Also, when your exhaust screen is full of carb, your engine cannot breath giving it a bog or loss/no power feeling.
