@tannerpeeler: Welp… Positives & Negatives from the #Bix7 race today. With the rain, it actually felt great being out there! Happy with my time, especially when we factor in the bad news… at about mile 3, I felt a large pop & what sounded like a gunshot in my left knee. Now, some of you may know that I’ve done a lot of damage to my knees, especially this left one. I thought I tore my quad from the feeling I had, but I felt stable enough to finish the race (sorry Laurie for always stressing you out), because I’m stubborn. After finishing I went straight to the medical tent, and ironically the specialist that was there is who I saw when I tore my meniscus 2 years ago. She let me know that I tore my LCL clean. So, this is my new norm for a while. I think that leaves just my patellar tendon in that knee, way to hold the line bud! 😂 All jokes aside, happy with finishing and ready to focus on this recovery. No surgery thankfully, will be in a hinged brace for a few weeks & progress down to a sleeve. Rest assured, we will be wedding & dance ready come August 23rd!
