katara forgave zuko and saved his life and ppl are still talking about toxicity as if they weren’t working in tandem in the last few eps 😭😭 and god forbid zuko as the new leader of the fire nation actually tries to repair his country and turn it around as if that’s literally not what the ending of the show alluded to, or that he be his own person with friends who accept him despite what his ancestors did

Love Zuko redemption arc. Hate Zutara bc he brings out the worst in Katara and Katara leavingn her culture which has been shown to be integral to her Katara to be the Firelady and raise the royal heirs of the nation that destroyed her home reeks of colonialism whether intentional or not. Enjoy your ship bc at the end of the day, it's just fiction but maybe also be open-minded enough to not try a police how other interact with Fandom.

It’s not about Zuko being a villian it’s about why would you want Katara to spend the rest of her life in the fire nation as he reforms it. Also the two characters had literally zero romantic tension, yall just had crushes on Zuko lol

Seriously, calling Zutara toxic while loving his redemption arc and the fact that he becomes Aang’s life long best friend. If he can grow change and become Aang’s best friend the same is true for Katara.

i think it’s more zuko’s inherent connection to katara’s mothers death. that’s something that she would legitimately think about everyday if she were with zuko romantically and i just don’t think either of them deserve that. that’s why kataang just makes more sense. she doesn’t have to wallow in that knowledge for her whole life knowing her partner had a hand in it
