Personal take: Chris Evans HT encounters a pyro mutants which controls fire. Joseph Quinn’s HT burned bright enough to maybe burn the oxygen around him to pull in surrounding fire- the address Johnny’s fire needing oxygen in the movie

Deadpool nerfed him for comedic purposes. In the the movies hes just powering up for fun and pretty easily powered up so much that Richard told him to stop or he'd ignite the atmosphere and destroy the earth.

I think the way Pyro closed his fist may have been literally quenching his flames, rather than HT losing his fire because he used too much. The guy can control fire so he can extinguish it as well

Pyro doesn't control fire tho he creates a gas he controls he has a igniter on his wrist that helps ignite the fuel that he emits. he wouldn't have been able to take his power 😂
