All security nation wide should have the same laws/rules. proper professional uniforms (not t shirts or polo) color black or blue. MANDATORY TRAINING !!! and all should have MANDATORY CARRY just incase. I hate the whole police/security attitude where police think their better. when we should all work as a team and have a good working relationship/understanding

definitely they shouldn’t look like a cop since all you gotta do is just observe and dial 911

I believe that at a block away they should look like law enforcement. If you see them and are about to break a window, you stop and think if it's security or police. But if you get close to talk to them it's very apparent who they are.

As a police officer, security guards need to stop trying to look like us. All respect, but no need for all the equipment and basically the same uniforms.

Depends on the type, the client, too general of a question. But always professional.

I’ve always wished my particular site would move away from bdu tops and polos and move to on duty tees and or hoodies underneath our carriers. We work for the military and if our office allows the military police to wear bdu bottoms and unit tees and hoodies on duty we should be allowed to do the same thing. Especially when it gets hot out. A wicking layer then whatever our duty top is gets so hot along with plate carriers during the hotter months

Typically depends on type of service. But your basic armed post guard should wear polo, vest under shirt (no carriers). Cargo pants. For gear: firearm, max of 2 mags, cuffs, and one less lethal option. Not all of them. They Should look visibly different than the local police force

Every security company is approved by their local sheriff department, that guy who was arrested by helmet police last week was approved.

big fan of class B type uniforms for basic police and security patrol A bunch of companies make molle uniform style carriers that offer a proper mix of traditional and modern looks. I'm all for tacticoolness for specialized units though.

Depends on the site. But typically a standard polo with bdu pants is the go to. We need to get away from the Paul blast style uniform that AUS pushes with the hat, whistle chain, and the full get up.

I think it depends on the setting. There is a place for armed vs unarmed. There is also a place for tactical, traditional uniform, or just casual. I think security is meant to me visible though. so that should be clear.

I have a cleaner uniform then the police. That’s how they know I’m security. I also wear LAPD navy class a with grey state trooper pants. It fits super well

The 10-7 Breakdown :
Class B or C uniforms depending on the site, or Polos if a hot out door post. I think they should vary from local police, so if Local PDs are black or navy blue uniforms, security shouldn't be wearing the same. I am personally for all green uniforms or navy blue but, I gotta wear black at my outdoor site.

I think polos always look better. I know it’s not the industry standard but when I work sites with polos, I feel much more confident. Look good feel good.

I’m a police officer and I seen security carry more gear than what I carry there’s no need for a security officer to carry assistive Amount of gear and especially they should wear a uniform that looks different from local pd or so

Well fit, squared away. Uniforms clean, shirt tucked in, black shoes or boots, guard card on display. They should look professional and care about doing their job

Here for a good time :
Polos, bdu pants, firearm, extra mags, flashlight, cuffs and medical gloves. It’s comfortable and I don’t need to look like a cop
