@redseajournal_official: This infographic offers a striking visualization of the world’s nominal GDP by country in 2023, based on IMF data. The global economy totals $105 trillion, with just a handful of countries making up the majority of economic output. ⸻ 💵 Top 5 Largest Economies in 2023: 1. 🇺🇸 United States – $26.9 trillion 2. 🇨🇳 China – $19.4 trillion 3. 🇯🇵 Japan – $4.4 trillion 4. 🇩🇪 Germany – $4.3 trillion 5. 🇮🇳 India – $3.7 trillion (now ahead of the UK) These five nations alone account for over 55% of global GDP, showing the concentration of economic power in a few countries. ⸻ 🧠 Key Takeaways: • The U.S. maintains its position as the world’s largest economy, producing over a quarter of the world’s output. • China remains in second place and is growing at 7.1%, compared to 5.5% for the U.S. • India overtakes the UK, becoming the 5th largest economy globally. • Russia’s GDP drops significantly—by $150B—more than the entire GDP of Ukraine ($149B). • Canada, Brazil, Russia, and Australia are nearly tied around $2.1–$2.2T. • Saudi Arabia’s GDP shrinks, falling below $1.1T, despite being a major oil exporter. ⸻ 🧮 Other Notable Economies: • 🇫🇷 France: $3.2T • 🇬🇧 United Kingdom: $3.2T • 🇧🇷 Brazil: $2.1T • 🇷🇺 Russia: $2.1T • 🇨🇦 Canada: $2.1T • 🇰🇷 South Korea: $1.7T • 🇲🇽 Mexico: $1.7T • 🇮🇹 Italy: $2.2T • 🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia: $1.1T ⸻ 📉 Growth, Decline, and Shifts: • The global economy is projected to grow by 5.3%, or 2.8% when adjusted for inflation. • Some countries like Russia, Canada, and Saudi Arabia are seeing economic contraction or slower growth due to geopolitical and energy-related pressures. • Countries like Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Indonesia show promising signs of economic expansion in Asia. ⸻ 📌 Notes: • Data excludes countries like Afghanistan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Syria due to lack of consistent economic reporting. • GDP figures are nominal, meaning they’re not adjusted for inflation or purchasing power parity (PPP). #GlobalEconomy #GDP2023 #EconomicPower #WorldEconomy #VisualCapitalist #USAEconomy #ChinaGDP

Imagine having 150 million people, the largest gas and oil reserves on the planet, and achieving such a pathetic result. Without these resources, Russia would barely be at the level of an African country economy.

The GDP of the US is hyper inflated btw. Their GDP is high because of their insane costs of living. Unironically their healthcare system which leaves people in crippling debt (if they are lucky to get treatment) is one of the reasons why their GDP is so high.
