I currently work overnight at a gas station/convenience store and the amount of bullshit I’ve dealt with…. Any job where you have to deal with the general public deserves more money…. Just like the people breaking their backs or working away from their families for months at a time…. We’re all getting bent over by the same people that would replace us in a heartbeat with robots and AI

everyone is made at the employees getting paid $20/hr but not mad that companies used this as an excuse to hire more people but only giving them 4-12 hrs a week so they still can't survive on their paychecks

I support pay increases for basically anyone who is not the ultra rich at this point. I gotta point out though that unless you own your own mom & pop mechanic shop (which are hella rare nowadays), all of the big chain repair places pay absolute shite and it’s completely unfair. That work is getting harder- more tech knowledge is needed, and the pay hasn’t matched the work for many years. So it’s really a matter if the person is a good mechanic or not- it’s whether they’re a bootlicker or not.
