I worked in hospice for years. The average caregiver tends to be the eldest daughter, 47. yo, and taking care of her parents and her own children.

GenXer who has spent the past five years as a full time caretaker fir aging patients and finally moved my mom into assisted living last week and FINALLY back into my own apartment, I don't know how you all manage kids and aging parents. The road in on is HARD. Huge props to you all managing kids as well.

I lived through it. I was 39 when my mom passed away after 2 yrs of poor health. I had an 9 yr old and a 13 yr old. My dad and I leaned on each other a lot. He'd take care of the girls after his day w mom, I'd take care of mom after school ( was a teacher) to give each other a break. Sending ♥️

My kids are grown finally but I have 3 grandbabies. Also, I have 80 yr old parents that are on my last nerve. I love them all though ❤️❤️🤣
