I have pointed out to two students that their names are spelled incorrectly if they’re really pronounced how they say them. One student had an extra letter and the other was missing the vowel they kept saying.

my anxious moment. kids with madeup names, traditional names from their country... I have gone an entire year without calling them by name. to all my kids it's just not my thing..sorry.

I would never ever have thought of spelling that name that way. Some people are real creative with how they smell their children’s name like we just had our eighth grade granddaughter and they have spelled her name Emerie instead of Emory

I teach PreK and THANKFULLY names are reverting to more traditional spellings! I have a class of Jacks, Sally’s, Luke’s and Sophie’s!

I hate to admit this as a teacher, but I just don’t call on the kids if I can’t pronounce their names🤣. I hate 7 Anthony’s last year and I was so happy! I can handle Anthony 🤣
