The worker already saw something was wrong and tried to stop her but I guess she wasn’t quick enough to react. Could happen to anyone.

it does seems like the section of the road that sinked has been newly patched up... and then next to it is a construction... why was the road patched? was there work done on that section of the road? if yes, did the workers accidentally damaged the water pipes prior to patching up, that might have caused the sinkhole?

This digging not been going forays or weeks. It's been going on for years! In Newton, in Marymount and everywhere centre lanes, left lanes and right lanes all blocked because of digging! Govt trying to save money by whole digging now see what happens. Hopefully won't be first of many sinkholes! Cmon Lawrence Wong! Do something about this quick! Ban all digging until this is investigated.
