@dylan_laferriere: 11 years ago I was laying in my bed, desolate of any emotion other than complete shock. I really hate how it’s been 11 years since my dad died. I always post something on July 26th and I was looking through my photos for one to post and realized that every photo I have of me and my dad, I have posted at least once on here through the years. That really breaks my heart because it’s not that many photos. So, I thought I’d post a little home video I found from when I was a baby interacting with my dad. On July 26th, I always like to watch some of the home videos from when I was a baby and little kid, because in every video that has my dad in it, he is nothing but proud or goofy or loving to me, my mom, and my siblings. Losing someone like your dad isn’t something that just gets better with time. As time goes on, you lose them over and over and over again. I lose him every time something big happens in my life, like a graduation or new job or moving, I lose him every time I go on a trip, I lose him every time I see somebody else getting to spend time with their dad, I lose him every time I have a “I need you dad” moment, I lose him at the most random times, it’s just over and over and over again. You don’t know how much I would give to have him in my life again, I just know he’d be my best friend and that kills me. So, I realize I talk about this on here every year, but every year I mean it more and more. I miss you so much, Dad. Life has never been the same without you here with us and everyday is a reminder of that. I take you with me wherever I go. I love you💙 #grief #dad #grieving #sad #parentsdeath
