The world should realize that Thailand values peace and has never wanted anything from Cambodia because Thailand has its own richness, culture, language, traditions, abundant resources and Thailand has never been a colony of anyone. We live peacefully. However, Cambodia is the only country that has continuously tried to claim the rights to Thai cultural heritage, which includes intangible traditions and tangible artifacts. Thailand has always tried to use peaceful means to minimize the impact on both countries. But Cambodia has repeatedly violated the right to live together. Thailand has lost more than enough. While Thailand deliberately uses F-16 and drones to target Khmer BM-21, the Thai military avoids using long-range weapons out of concern that they might harm Cambodian civilians. But what the Khmer military commanders have done is place BM-21s right in the middle of civilian communities that havenโt even been evacuated and those BM-21s havenโt been destroyed yet. What kind of madness is this? The Thai military is protecting the lives of Cambodian civilians more than the Khmer military itself.

The war is awful. Cambodia went through it for decades and totally understands what war brings to humanity. We just want to live peacefully and catch up with the world. Accusing Cambodia of invading Thailand is like accusing Ukraine of invading Russia .Thereโs no reason for Cambodia to invade a bigger and stronger country. Our government has done all we can to avoid such situation. Unfortunately, we are forced to reach the dead end. Cambodia is actually the victim of Thailandโs internal political issue if you study about Thaiโs political realignment enough.

Cambodia is a small and developing country. We donโt have the powerful weapons like Thailand. We donโt have the money or the power to start a war. Our people, women, children, elders, monks, just want to live in peace. Cambodia has always respected our neighbors. But now we are under attack. Bombs have fallen on our land. Our soldiers and innocent people are dead. Our sacred temples, which are part of our identity and culture, are being damaged. And yet Thailand is trying to control the story.
