If you love the Dutch churches, you should definitely visit Blue Sakura in Zwolle! It's a sushi restaurant inside of a church. Such a cool experience

I live nearby Haarlem for my whole life! I like it way more then Amsterdam 🙈 you should try Gelateria Garrone (best ice cream) and for the best sandwiches go to Romeo’s.

NS trains are only that price for tourists, if you get a 5€ monthly subscription you pay 40% off on all trips (outside of rush hour). One trip to Deen Haag in a month and the subscription already pays itself off, not only that but once you have the subscription you can extend it to ppl traveling with you. Super easy to get it, you just need an iDeal. It also gives you access to OV Fiets which is really useful when seeing another city

Go to vijfhoek! Its a little neighbourhood witht super green cozy car free streets and if youre interested a cheese fondue restaurant aha.

Definitely walk through the cronjéstraat, it’s about 10 minutes walking from the station away and it’s a street full of shops. From Turkish bakeries to special cheese shops and just the normal things like Kruidvat and HEMA. I recommend going on a wednesday/friday/saturday. Also on Saturday we have a market in the city, fun to visit !

I think you took the sprinter to Haarlem but the intercity to Vlissingen is way faster because its skips the little stations

I would visit Kathedrale Basiliek Sint Bavo next time in haarlem! It is a beautiful church next to the city centre, would definitely visit if you like churches a mussttt😍😍
