Gogeta is a powerful fusion character in the Dragon Ball universe, created when Goku and Vegeta perform the Metamoran Fusion Dance. He is known for his incredible speed, strength, and fighting prowess, often considered one of the strongest characters in the series. Gogeta is a fusion of Goku and Vegeta, and his personality is a combination of their traits, with a mix of Goku's playfulness and Vegeta's seriousness. Gogeta (ゴジータ, Gojīta) is the Metamoran fusion of Goku and Vegeta when they perform the Fusion Dance properly. Wielding the combined and magnified strength of both Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta is an incredibly deadly warrior, and like his Potara counterpart Vegito, he is regarded as one of the most powerful characters in the entire Dragon Ball franchise. Gogeta first debuted in Fusion Reborn as the final protagonist when Goku and Vegeta fused in Hell to defeat Super Janemba. He returned in Dragon Ball GT as a Super Saiyan 4 to battle Omega Shenron, but defused quicker than expected due to over-using too much power. He would then make his canonical debut in Broly as the film's final protagonist, similar to his role from Fusion Reborn Gogeta first appeared in the 1995 movie Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn and was designed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro. An iteration of him appeared in Dragon Ball GT and was designed by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru. His first canon debut was years later in Broly, in which his new traits were a result of Akira Toriyama's attempt at adding him into the "Dragon Ball canon".[3] In general, as a fusion of Goku and Vegeta, Gogeta is a combination of their characteristics, retaining Goku's tall physique and Vegeta's stern facial features. His base form's hair is jet-black, and his hairstyle primarily resembles Vegeta's, though Gogeta's hair is longer and wider, sporting an additional bang from his forehead, while retaining Vegeta's widow's peak (though less apparent in Dragon Ball Super: Broly). He has the same tan skin tone as Vegeta. His Metamoran outfit tends to have a somewhat unique color scheme: while his pants always retain the standard white color and his wristbands and shoes always retain the standard black color, his vest is black rather than dark blue, and the color of his vest's padding and his sash and leg wraps differs across incarnations. In Fusion Reborn and Dragon Ball GT, the padding on his vest is a unique orange (the color of Goku's gi) and his sash and leg wraps are a unique dark blue (the color of Vegeta's clothing). In GT, his wristbands resemble Goku's more than the long ones common of Metamoran fusions. In Broly and Super Dragon Ball Heroes, his padding, belt and leg bands match the standard yellow and teal colors, respectively. In Dragon Ball GT, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta's hair closely resembles Super Saiyan 4 Goku's, though it resembles Vegeta's hair in the back, and his hair is bright red, and his fur is dark reddish-brown, unlike other Super Saiyan 4 users who generally have red fur and dark colored hair. Like most other fusions, Gogeta possesses a dual voice consisting of Goku and Vegeta's individual voices combined. In earlier Dragon Ball media and games, Goku's voice was made more dominant to differentiate him from Vegito, where Vegeta's voice was more dominant. In modern Dragon Ball media and games, both fusions have begun to sound much more similar to one another. Much like Vegito, Gogeta is a composite personality of Goku and Vegeta, possessing several different traits from each fuse as well as unique traits of his own as a merged individual. In Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn, Gogeta is shown to be a confident, cold and relatively silent character, boldly proclaiming himself as Janemba's end at first but then ruthlessly eliminating him with little to no words spoken afterwards.
