Long story short he was suspected of being intoxicated. When he got to the gate, there was a secondary check where he turned around, went to a bathroom (throwing away a bottle of vodka) and returning. He looked disheveled, etc

No no no, ALL staff and crew members should have security checks EVERY time, nobody can be trusted 100% and gives easy ways for them to potentially do harm. Never knew this even happened. I figured we were as SAFE as can be when we fly, this clearly proves we aren't.
