My advice is that you shouldn’t go super crazy with the offroad mods. i have a tundra on 35s on a 4.5 inch lift and I’ve literally never had any issues offroad and I’ve hit tons of trails on OnX that were rated 6 and 7, most fire roads or trails are only gonna be like 1-4 difficulty, not exactly a perfect rating system but don’t overbuild it if you’re not gonna go super hard, also be careful with the weight. Tons of people with Tacomas are WAY over payload. Remember that these things weren’t meant to carry 2k, so make sure your build reflects what it’s rated if you want it to last a long time and keep the frame and suspension in good shape.

Nathanial Bartlett :
change all your belts/fluids
get a new optima battery
replace the clutch
get it detailed.
leave the rest alone, it's perfect.

6.5 inch lift 5 link rear suspension, dana 60's front and rear, 37" tsl's on some mickey thompson polished bullet holes. np205 transfer case. yukon lockers front and rear. swap a Toyota v8 in it with a supercharger and build the transmission to handle it all.

DUDE THAT TRUCK IS IMMACULATE CONDITION EXCEPT FOR THE PAINT BUT THE MAIN THING IS GET THE MINOR REPAIRS ON THE SUSPENSION CHECK IF THE TIMING BELT HAS BEEN CHANGED LITTLE DETAIL INSIDE THE INTERIOR OTHERWISE OIL CHANGES AND LITTLE MAINTENANCE SHOULD LAST YOU TO A MILLION MILES. PUT LED HEADLIGHTS FOR LOOKS

Turn it into a Castrol TOM’S GT500 JGTC racer with the 1997 Castrol TOM’S livery, Rays Volk Racing wheels, Bridgestone off-road tires, DENSO spark plugs, and the engine required Castrol motor oil for the Tacoma.

CarPlay stereo w a turn dial for volume. Check radiator for cracking. Check rear engine seals. Check LBJ. Check rear N front differential fluid. Do not lift it. It doesn’t need anything. Do not add a supercharger. It is designed to run cool and that’s why it lasts forever. It does not need a secondary radiator unless you were towing a lot. Drive it.

I would recommend checking your leaf springs to make sure they are not rusted out, cracked or have blown bushings
