I can't watch those either. I think they planned her abduction. I believe they were involved with raffling kids and had her trafficked when she was a kid. I think she became aware of it and want to start over. I think they were worried she was going to expose their family secrets.

Also she and her adult brother still lived at home (not too weird) but demonstrates that they didn’t have much experience living by their own rules. Dad’s almost immediate panic at 6am was odd to me (She’s 23, she parties, it’s a cruise, she was getting attention…I’d assume she was in some one night stand’s bed sleeping and wouldnt show by 9 or 10…). and I think a control dynamic was overwhelming in that family. Also - 3 page note to Amy’s gf?? Again, obsessive control.
