Sydney world? I expect you of all people to do at least a rudimentary proof of your subs (also, the default “pop up one word at a time” subs are actually really bad for readability. Try to put subs up in cognitive units with punctuation if you care about your viewers)

Wait until you find out about adobe. Signed up to pay monthly (get my free month) so I could edit my resume on a pdf. In the fine print they said it was a 12 month lock in contract but played monthly. And when you try and cancel you’re required to pay out the rest of the year. After 3 months of not paying they just stopped chasing

I had an annual membership with this company that would send you music records on a monthly basis. After half the year they went into administration, then changed management after a few more months. At that point my yearly subscription had expired but when they came back from the dead I emailed them asking them to either refund me or send me the equivalent amount of records that I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR via the annual subscription for the months they had been inactive. To which they replied - we can't do that cause if we refunded/sent products to everyone who was affected they wouldn't financially recover. So I basically gifted them 3-4 months worth of money

It feels so short-sighted because instead of having a potential returning customer that recommends them, they’ve got an angry customer who will never come back, but hey at least they have an extra £12.. 🙄

ngl sounds like your fault. basically every company has some sort of are you sure when you unsubscribe and not confirming it is just lazy and I'm not surprised they didn't cancel it

This is similar to “Beer52” took me ages to get off the subscription and had to do it via email and phone, they weren’t having it. Still to this day I’m harassed by emails and post from them trying to get me to re subscribe despite the fact I’ve asked to come of their mailing list several times
