I've felt unsafe in ubers before although I've never been harassed, thankfully. In Poland there's this "women for women" option in Bolt app but I'm not sure how good it is (if there's enough women drivers)

One time a guy turned off the uber app and canceled the ride so I didn’t have to pay! Many times been harassed for my phone number! Been texted without invitation before!

I am not conventionally attractive and I *STILL* don't give my address on Uber/Lyft. I will walk for 30 minutes to avoid it.

I had an uber driver literally forced me to listen to a song. Just because the tittle was just like my name 💀 when I tried to leave he turned on the light and was like “so you are not going to listen to the song?”

SA is not only exclusively done to women nor is it specifically saved for Uber riders. Those acts can happen anywhere and everywhere. While yes, I agree your experience might be the experience for a plethora of women—it doesn’t make enacting a policy for ONLY women less discriminatory. One of the negatives of equality is that the game should be shaped roundly enough so that everyone can enjoy a piece of the pie. They need to allow men to be able to engage in their own option to book men riders in order to even the playing field is all I’m saying.

My friend goes and sits in the front seat and when the driver starts she throws the car into park and gets the f*ck out!

I don’t know any women who don’t know at least one woman that has been made to feel uncomfortable in an Uber. A girl I went to high school with was SA’d by an Uber driver. He offered her a ‘massage’ and when she refused he just started groping her anyway. He didn’t even receive jail time, just a fine and a ban from driving. I also have friends whose Uber drivers have saved their numbers to be able to text them after the ride is finished to “tell you you’re beautiful and would you like to go on a date sometime”. These are men old enough to be their fathers.

I have grabbed between legs in Uber I wear hijab I cover from head to toe litturly and was still assaulted all while begging for my number and asking me to go on a date with him I jumped out of the car
