How does Sydney Sweeney’s genes have anything to do with eugenics? If you can’t answer this without speaking on her race then you might be racist. A beautiful black lady could have made the same ad and nobody would be crashing out on the internet. If the only difference was race and you have a problem with one and not the other that is racism.

While I agree with a lot of this, one piece I think it is importnat to remember is that Sydney Sweeney did not design, write, direct, or create this ad. She is the on contract hire that came in to shoot. So it’s a stretch to assume that Sydney agrees with and wants to push a eugenics position based on this

The irony of white people being “cleaner” is that historically Europeans were some of the most unclean and disgusting people of the time. Even the royals would only bathe once a year and they literally threw human waste into the streets. In contrast other cultures such as the Mayans viewed bathing as a spiritualistic ritual and would therefore bathe regularly.

Manufacturing outrage for the clicks. A silly pun in an ad that’s clearly trying to be clever about the genes of the JEANS! Not the wearer. Eugenics? Please.
