I haven't heard of it. They are probably surmising that the amino acids in gelatin are similar to those present in the injectible peptide. However, those aminos need to be joined together in a particular arrangement to form a peptide with a specific mode of action like GLP-1. Further, even if it happen to be in that arrangement (doubtful) and did boost endogenous (body made) GLP-1, endogenous would only last mere minutes. GLP-1 family injected peptides have a half-life of 5 days minimum, so that's why they are amazing and helping so many overcome years of struggling. As a Board Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Certified Lifestyle Weight Management Specialist, and Certified GLP-1 Exercise Specialist, who is also a former degreed addictions counselor, food addiction is one of the hardest to treat and overcome.
