I’m gonna guess that’s a Chevy with the plastic plug. There is no avoiding that. No drain pan, open top pan, baking pan, whatever other options are out there have been able to prevent that for me. I just pull the plug and run lol

There ain’t many if any mechanics not covered themselves in oil at one stage or another and it’s harder on the floor than on a ramp, it’s all about learning and being willing to get your hands and maybe hair dirty! Well done 👍

Just like the big yellow plastic twist on plug on the newer mustangs and trucks. Spin it off and watch oil hit the sway bar or whatever the most inconvenient oddly shaped part it can hit to shoot oil in as many different directions as possible 😂

Everybody saying they hate these drain pans, I’ve used exclusively this style and this has NEVER happened to me, maybe a drop here and there from the filter dropping down and bouncing, but nothing like that ^ I guess I’m the minority here 😳
