I like to use the seperate spiral notebooks for each class to jot notes really quick and one big binder to rewrite the notes neatly and more organized.

don’t buy anything until you get the syllabus. If you can get access to the syllabus before to buy the notebooks required for the class that’s good! (But them used or rent them). Praying for you and I am very proud of you 🩷

Back when I was in college, chegg😅 it’s a membership but all the things I could never find on quizlet were always on there! Having a MacBook is great and you have the notebooks for notes in person. Even when all my classes were in person, a TON of the work was online! Also GOOGLE DOCS & SLIDES!!!!!!!!

I would just say get a planner or make an assignment tracker on google sheets! It helps with procrastinating and keeping your assignments organized with due dates!!! You can look at your syllabus and it should tell you all the assignments and when they are due and It helped me so much!

DONT BUY A TEXTBOOK! They'll be online more than likely! Planner is a must, flash drive that can hold all the info for your classes or buy cheap ones for each class so that the information doesn't overload your computer but you always have it

Go ahead and make folders in finder for each class. Quizlet has been super helpful for online flash cards. PLANNERS changed my life, color coded for each class and reviewing it before each week starts. I loved my ipad as a second display more than taking notes. The second display was life changing especially when writing papers and looking over documents.

1) lots of ipad haters in these comments which surprises me!! if you like to hand write notes, you will use the ipad a lot for notes. i use goodnotes & it has been life saving! i like being able to import docs, images, powerpoints, everything! def wouldn’t complete assignments on it, only on my computer

1) When you take notes in class use your laptop and then later transfer it to your notebook. It helps you really retain the information. 2) You don’t really need a ipad honestly. It comes in handy but isn’t entirely necessary. 3) Use your first few days/first week of class to create your own deadlines for your assignments! It helps manage the workload when you’re taking a lot of classes at once. 4) Make your face known to your professors!! It helps with recommendation letters later on and college is the best time to build connections. 5) make sure you find a way to relax and decompress. you don’t want to be burnt out!

for speech class i would def get on it as soon as it’s assigned that way you have more time to go over it with your professor and see if your on the right track and to practice it because i took it and i sometimes got busy and started late and wouldn’t be able to get the majority memorized because it takes a minute to perfect. also dont feel like you have to know what your doing or be the best at it right away i also struggled with this cause some of the older people into my

Use ALL student discounts possible! Most companies like Best Buy, Microsoft, etc have student packages or discounts to use so you can complete your assignments!

You DO NOT need an iPad. Paper notes so you will focus, trust me. A good laptop is a must. Give yourself grace, 17 hours is a lot. Tbh all I needed thru college was notebooks, pens, pencils and a good calculator for upper level math. That’s it

Yall gone leave me alone abt taking 17 credit hours 😂😂😂😂 I had no choice with the new bill that passed - I need 15 minimum for my pell grant. My college didn't have anymore 1-2 credit classes open and my business admin paradigm has 17hrs on my fall semester so🙂

The only reason I liked my iPad while in college was because I like to draw and take notes on the PowerPoint slides when the professor went over them but a very good calculator and a very sturdy umbrella trust me.

i liked paper notes as well!! notebooks - i got a different color notebook for each class. colorful pens & highlighters. a PLANNER. i liked to write out & see my month & week ahead
