Yeah… after getting my right ring finger halfway pushed through one when dropping tomatoes… i refuse to touch them. Ifs cost me a few interviews but… idc… when maintained those things are terrifying. Had to throw out 2dozen tomatoes and bio clean the sink station which made many people mad due to tomato shortage 😅😅 took me 3 more tomatoes before i noticed the color difference bc i was tired and numb at that point. (I was dropping them another person was handling the slicer so yeah… my finger got caught and i didnt notice for about 10 seconds)

Trick I learned with those, take the tomato and run it up and down on the blade to where it only cuts a centimeter or two and then slice it like normal. Some tomatoes are tougher than others and don’t cut as easily even with sharp blades.
