As an internet storyteller myself (who has had to pull back EXPONENTIALLY) I will tell you the downside of telling stories (at least personal ones) is the EXTREMELY negative parasocial obsession with you, your personal life, and the details you share. People dont want you to lie to them, but then they punish you for your truth. Stories are important, but they can become a dangerous thing for creators.
